7 Favorite TV Couples

02/14/2012

7. Daria & Trent (Daria)

Eternal reject, Daria, was in love with Trent since his first appearance, and throughout the series I hoped the two of them would hook-up. But despite hurdles like Tom and college, the the biggest obstacle for Daria to overcome was herself.

6. Darrin & Samantha (Bewitched)

When you get married, you’re not just marrying one person, you’re marrying their entire family. There’s a lot to be said for this mixed-marriage couple. How many men would put up with a mother-in-law like Endora?

5. Niles & Daphne (Fraiser)

It wasn’t just the acerbic wit that I tuned in for when I watched Fraiser every week. The merry-go-round pining between Niles and Daphne made for both bittersweet romance and hilarious comedy.

4. Lucy & Ricky (I Love Lucy)

I’ve been watching this show for as long as I can remember and these two always made for a hilarious odd couple: a mouthy red-head and a Cuban bongo player? But they made it work, not just on screen but in real life as well.

3. Buffy & Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Before Bella pined for Edward, there was another forbidden vampire love affair: Buffy and Angel. How tragic that to be with her, he would have to trade his soul.

2. Homer & Marge (The Simpsons)

Despite all of the idiotic schemes that would have made any three dimensional woman leave her husband, Marge always manages to forgive her Homey. Talk about unconditional love!

1. Ross & Rachel (Friends)

If you had a TV in the 90’s odds are you were as addicted to the on-again, off-again romance between Ross and Rachel as I was. And talk about suspense –  it took until the very last moments of the final episode to find out if they would end up together!
